About Me
I enjoy writing about people, taking photos of people, and well, PEOPLE. I like to think that the photos I take allow each person to see a unique and beautiful part of themselves they otherwise wouldn't. There is beauty in life everywhere, and more often than not a camera lens can help us see it.
Growing up in the Sierra Nevadas, I captured panoramic snow capped mountains and the dainty flakes that coated them. In college my camera was introduced to a new kind of beauty. People. Here I captured portraits of friends and acquaintances around school, at parties, and events and in preparation for graduation. Each face I captured possessed a distinct fervor for life which translated so beautifully into still images within my camera.
Now living in Encinitas, I’ve discovered another, and quite possibly my favorite, form of beauty. Salt, light, water, sand. The ocean is boundless and breathes life into the people who reside by it. I’ve fallen in love with the beach and surf aesthetic that this small town embodies and I plan to continue finding new and compelling ways to capture it.
As for my writing, I hope that whoever stumbles upon my rambling advice can pull something meaningful, maybe even impactful from it.
